How Can We Help?

Can I Change Mortgage Payment Date?

The payment due date cannot be changed on a mortgage. However, while the payments are contractually due on the first of each month, there is a 15 day grace period. As long as payments are received within 15 days or your due date, a late charge would not be assessed.

GoBanking offers the following payment options to make your monthly mortgage payment:

  • Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) / Auto Draft: This free recurring service can be established to withdraw your monthly mortgage payment from your designated checking or savings account on the same day each month. To pay your mortgage loan off faster, you can elect to make additional principal payments with each monthly payment. You may also select the day you would like your mortgage payment to draft, e.g. you may choose from the 1st to the 15th of the month.
  • Pay by Phone: A phone payment may be completed over the phone by calling 800-555-212. Pay by Phone transactions are free via our automated phone service.
  • Online Banking:  Once you receive your Online Banking credentials (usually within 7 business days of your loan transfer), you will be able to complete your online registration. You will then have 24/7 access to your account online, and be able to set up one-time or recurring payments, at no charge.
  • Bank Branch Payments: mortgage payments may be paid at any  branch location.
